3 Months

Sometimes I think..."wow has it already been 3 months!?" and other times I look at London's growth and development and go "dang! he's only 3 months old?" 

So many new things to share with you guys!

London's salivary glands are working overtime these days. So much so that sometimes I swear he's teething. Everything goes straight to the mouth:

(forgive me, some of these pictures are blurry. It's hard to take a still photo of a baby that constantly moves!)

He's starting to explore new toys...

...and have crazy hair days...

He now wears 6 month clothing and communicates though noises instead of cries. He definitely sounds like he's trying to speak words to us. He mimics mouth movements perfectly and if you look at him and smile, he smiles right back...sometimes laughs!

He outgrew his little "travel" bed that we used to keep downstairs for him to sleep in when he would take naps so now he occasionally snuggles up with his Taggies Dog or we put him in his big boy crib. (at night he still sleeps in his pack-n-play) 

(I don't have anything Christmas related because I was very sick that day but I'll post pictures that my family took as soon as I get my hands on them :)

His 4 month appointment is not too far away! Can't wait to post his weight and percentiles! 

This week's silliness

We take so many priceless pictures of London that I have to show you guys as they build up in my phone...

Gigi bought London a new hat that covers his ears a little better...$4 at Children's Place! Score! (Plus it's SO cute!) I know it's a little ironic that he's wearing a winter hat and no clothes...

I also cataloged a series of emotions from London earlier this week that reveal his "hey mama I'm hungry and I can't wait any longer" meltdown...

I'm getting hungry mama...

and later we played the "dress like a nun" game! 

I personally had lots of fun with that one...

New Friends

London is starting to meet our friend's kids and it been a lot of fun seeing him react to other children. Especially when the other kids are from people Isaiah and I dearly love. At my birthday dinner this past Sunday, London met Jackson for the first time (who is 5 months older)...

We honestly think they look a lot alike!

Jackson loved London

...and at a church small group the next night, London met 3 year old Levi who politely asked me if he could hold him

On my birthday yesterday, all eyes were on mama...

and later we took some happy photos...

I call this one London's "school photo"...

2 Months

14lbs, 1oz

25.25 inches long

weight: 95th percentile

height: 99th percentile

He got his first round of shots at his 2 month appointment the day before Thanksgiving. The first shot surprised him so the 2 shots after that weren't so pleasant :(

After some hugs and kisses from mom and dad (and a bottle), he was just fine :) We can cure anything with food in our family

London's been holding his own head up since birth, however he's been getting even better at it recently

His arms, legs, hands, and feet continue to grow at a rapid rate...

and my favorite...his sweet little eyelashes...

Isaiah and I are beginning to relax a bit more as parents

...but we still have our delusional moments

He continues to love spending quality time with us

Despite the shots, London certainly had a very happy Thanksgiving

Our next appointment is in another 2 months (4 month check up), at that point we'll begin introducing solid foods and hopefully I can look forward to him sleeping through the night :)

1 Month

My sweet baby is a month old! 

I'm actually not surprised that it feels like I blinked and it's a month later...simply because I've been so sleep deprived that I would believe anything in this delusional state. 

The day after London's 1 month "birthday" I had to pack up all of London's newborn clothes and switch out his closet to 3 month clothing. He's such a big boy! I sort of shot myself in the foot by buying a few too many newborn diapers because now they're too small and I keep squeezing his chunky little thighs in to them. 

But he continues to be a precious happy baby...

and also continues to sleep about 3 hours at a time (which would be the only reason I'd be excited for him to get a little older...to start sleeping through the night)

and car rides only fuel the fire...

but we sure do have fun together...

pray that I'll be able to find clothes in the future that fit this long body...

...and these big feet!

One more month and I'll be able to give you his new percentiles at his 2 month appointment.
