To big for his britches

London's 6 months old!! Can you believe it!?

Weight: 20lbs, 2oz (90th percentile)
Height: 28.75 in (99th percentile)

He's just about the happiest baby I've ever seen

He's eaten squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, and pears. He hates the squash, likes the carrots and sweet potatoes, and LOVES the pears. At the beginning of March he started sitting up unassisted and he's in 9-12 month clothing. Like any baby, he's really in to exploring new things by touch and taste ;)

He's almost getting too big for my "magical mommy hold" that always puts him to sleep :(

(his hair has really taken on this strawberry blonde color and his eyes have developed in to hazel)

He takes some of the best naps in his car seat...

...and he loves interaction with his baby friends!

This is sweet Jackson. He's 5 months older than London but they're the same size and they look a lot alike! They had the best time with each other this past Tuesday.

As bitter sweet as it is, I love watching London grow and develop. I can't wait until he starts saying "mama"!

Until next time...

He's figuring things out!

London's really beginning to engage in things by touching and studying them. It's really sweet to watch. You can literally see the wheels in his head turning :)

He's also developed a personality trait to have to have a soft blanket snuggled up to his face as he sleeps

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

17 more days and he'll be 6 months old!!! Can you believe it!!??

3 of my favorite photos from this past week

We always cover London's head with a blanket when we transfer him to and from the car (since it finally got cold outside) and it's a running joke now. We'll say "Ok London, time to dress like Joseph"

Just within the past week London's learned to grab things really well. He loves to touch your face and hold his toys.

He's still super snugly but he's about outgrown the point where I can hold him sideways :(
...boy he grows quickly!

4 Months

4 months old and happy about it!

We've had a busy 4th month! Isaiah and I bought a house that's being built but will look like this by the first of April...

and London found his hair, learned to roll over, and began to eat solid foods.
He's starting that stage where he likes to hold his own bottle...

...but as you can see he'd rather have cake :)

He loves to have books read to him

and now, the second you lay him down on his back, he instantly rolls to his stomach

my favorite is his new routine of hand holding...
...he even falls asleep that way.
Its the sweetest thing to look at. It almost looks like he's praying!

He continues to be snuggly...

...and, although you can't see it, he's entranced by watching football and basketball (which is what we're sitting and watching together here). He'll literally stop what he's doing to watch and the second a commercial comes on, he'll go back to what he was doing. Hopefully thats the sign of an athletic boy!

London is:
17(lbs), 10(oz) [95th percentile]
27 inches long [99th percentile]
...and in 6-12 month clothing!

but he's certainly happy and healthy :)
I love watching him grow

3 Months

Sometimes I think..."wow has it already been 3 months!?" and other times I look at London's growth and development and go "dang! he's only 3 months old?"

So many new things to share with you guys!

London's salivary glands are working overtime these days. So much so that sometimes I swear he's teething. Everything goes straight to the mouth:

(forgive me, some of these pictures are blurry. It's hard to take a still photo of a baby that constantly moves!)

He's starting to explore new toys...

...and have crazy hair days...

He now wears 6 month clothing and communicates though noises instead of cries. He definitely sounds like he's trying to speak words to us. He mimics mouth movements perfectly and if you look at him and smile, he smiles right back...sometimes laughs!

He outgrew his little "travel" bed that we used to keep downstairs for him to sleep in when he would take naps so now he occasionally snuggles up with his Taggies Dog or we put him in his big boy crib. (at night he still sleeps in his pack-n-play)

(I don't have anything Christmas related because I was very sick that day but I'll post pictures that my family took as soon as I get my hands on them :)

His 4 month appointment is not too far away! Can't wait to post his weight and percentiles!

This week's silliness

We take so many priceless pictures of London that I have to show you guys as they build up in my phone...

Gigi bought London a new hat that covers his ears a little better...$4 at Children's Place! Score! (Plus it's SO cute!) I know it's a little ironic that he's wearing a winter hat and no clothes...

I also cataloged a series of emotions from London earlier this week that reveal his "hey mama I'm hungry and I can't wait any longer" meltdown...

I'm getting hungry mama...

...10 seconds later...

I'm hungry NOW mama!

ahhh much better :)
(London likes to have his right hand touching his face when he eats)

and later we played the "dress like a nun" game!
I personally had lots of fun with that one...

and here's a sneak peek of our Christmas card this year!
