And Then There Were Three...

It's official! I'm pregnant! Isaiah and I found out the good news Tuesday (Jan 17th). Oddly enough, the 17th was always our anniversary when we were dating. I guess that day still brings us sweet little blessings :)
  • Currently I'm estimated to be 7 weeks along
  • My estimated due date is September 11th
  • My first doctor's appointment is February 3rd (we'll get more definitive dates at this visit)
I've been extremely blessed in that I haven't experienced any (severe) morning sickness, however, I definitely feel nauseous from time to time making it a challenge to find something to eat that sounds good. My two biggest obstacles are 1.) feeling completely lethargic all the time and 2.) the mood swings that no one could've prepared me for...prayer helps with that :)

I've been capturing reactions to the news of my pregnancy on video lately. One from Isaiah, one from his mother Patty (who will be a first time Grandmother, or Lola, as we'll call her :)

Isaiah's video comes with a funny story. Since the audio isn't very loud this is a good prologue...

The night that I found out I was pregnant, I came home from work, tested in the guest bathroom downstairs, put my groceries away, and quickly peaked my head in the bathroom to see what I thought was going to be a white stick that says "Not Pregnant". As you can guess, I gave myself whiplash when I noticed the "Not" in front of "Pregnant" wasn't there. I've never seen what that looks like!! Naturally, I laughed...then cried...then laughed hysterically...then bawled my eyes out. Isaiah proceeds to call shortly afterwards to let me know he'll be home in 15 minutes..."get it together woman!" my psyche said...I immediately got the idea that I wanted to tell Isaiah by having him help me fold laundry only to find a pair of baby socks at the bottom of the pile. I ran to the Dollar Store up the street, purchased some ugly baby socks (you certainly get what you pay for), ran home, dumped the clothes on the bed, shoved the socks on the bottom (strategically of course), set up the camera, and paced for 5 minutes. Isaiah walks in with a large pizza and the first thing out of my mouth is "hey could you set that down real quick and help me fold some clothes?"...I have the best husband in the world...he says "sure!" without even blinking. We walk upstairs and he acknowledges the camera, but doesn't say anything about it. As we make small talk and the stack whittles down to just socks, the baby socks are sitting dead center (with all the other socks surrounding them) and Isaiah still doesn't notice. Ironically, he holds up one of my socks and says "look at this little baby sock!" as I thought..."yeah look at THAT baby sock". His eyes quickly glance over to the (actual) baby socks and he says..."look how small THOSE socks are!! Those can't be your socks!!"...to which my response was revealing that I was pregnant :) ...Watch, and enjoy.
